Meaning: (\u57fa\u672c\u516b\u6cd5, eight basic rules/forms) — the foundational set of eight techniques that open Bujinkan training, including koshi kudaki, ganseki nage, and omote gyaku.
How it is applied: Applied as the backbone of the beginner curriculum. Drilled as exact forms to build timing and body structure, then opened into free application against realistic pressure.
